There could be good news on the horizon for the Vancouver Canucks.
Brock Boeser sported a full-contact jersey and was a full participant in the team’s morning skate ahead of its Sunday night tilt against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The 22-year-old’s sighting appears to put him well ahead of schedule in his recovery from a rib cartilage injury. The Canucks said on Feb. 18 that he would be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
Boeser told reporters Sunday that he’s feeling optimistic about his timeline and he always expected to be back before the end of 2019-20.
“It’s always exciting to skate with the guys and it feels good to be out there. I felt pretty good out there, so, hopefully, I’ll be back soon,” he said.
The third-year forward, who was hurt on Feb. 8, has 45 points (16 goals, 29 assists) in 56 games this year.
