The cloud computing revolution: -

The Web 2.0 revolution has brought us many new concepts and cloud computing is one of them.

The term "Cloud Computing" comes from the use of an image in the cloud to represent the Internet. We rely heavily on this "cloud" to send and receive data reliably. There were data channels, routers and servers and now there are services. Cloud computing covers the entire spectrum of provision of services hosted on the Internet. These services are generally classified into three categories:

1. Infrastructure as a service (IaaS): for example. Amazon
2. platform as a service (PaaS), for example, Google Apps
3. Software as a service (SaaS): for example. Web-based emails

It is elastic (the user can have as much or as little service as he needs) and the provider manages it completely (the user only needs a computer and Internet connection).

What is really interesting in this story is that they trusted an experienced partner to make the transition. This is what will make the difference. Organizations do not necessarily need to rely solely on their own IT team to make the change, experts exist for this. If we take Hosted Exchange solutions, for example, most cloud providers provide the smooth transition. But this Wyoming hospital is not the only organization that has made the leap to cloud computing. In the United Kingdom, St Helens and Knowsley University Hospitals relied on cloud storage because their need for more storage space and nearby internal infrastructure no longer met their needs. As you can see, this is a very different scenario where the main concern was the storage capacity. In addition, this is a typical
