Why an offer sheet for Flames' Sam Bennett could make sense for Canucks

Is Sam Bennett coveted enough outside Calgary for a team to try sticking it to the cap-strapped Flames with an offer sheet? While it may sound like an odd name to attach to a practice even rarer than payphone use, it may not be the craziest of possibilities.

Daniel Sedin on Elias Pettersson

“Daniel Sedin on Elias Pettersson: From what I've seen, nothing is impossible for that guy, that's for sure. I said before the season, if he could come in and be as good as he was in Sweden, I didn't think playoffs was out of the question, and that's where they are now #canucks

Elias Pettersson Made Another Sick-Ass Play

Nashville Predators netminder Pekka Rinne may be the best goaltender in the NHL. Last season, he led the league in goals saved above average, and so far this year, his goals against average is tops in the league at 1.96, with a .931 save percentage to boot. Rinne is incredible at his job, in short, but when he’s facing Vancouver Canucks wonderkid Elias Pettersson on a penalty shot, he might as well be a vending machine worker.
