Brock Boeser

Brock Boeser will not return to the Vancouver Canucks on their road trip and is out week to week with a groin injury, coach Travis Green said Saturday.

The 21-year-old forward missed his third straight game when the Vancouver Canucks lost to the Buffalo Sabres 4-3 in a shootout Saturday. He was sent home from the six-game road trip Thursday to see a specialist in Vancouver.
Green said Boeser will be fine after a period of rest, according to CBC.
Boeser had four points (two goals, two assists) in his last game, a 7-6 overtime win against the Colorado Avalanche on Nov. 2.
The Canucks' six-game road trip continues at the New York Rangers on Monday, the New York Islanders on Tuesday and the Minnesota Wild on Nov. 15.
"We don't have a real good understanding," Green said Thursday. "We've done an MRI on it. It was negative. But we just want him to see a specialist and make sure."
Boeser, who injured his groin in a 4-1 loss at the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 18, has 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 13 games this season.
Boeser had 55 points (29 goals, 26 assists) in 62 games last season as a rookie before a season-ending back injury against the Islanders on March 5.
"He wants to play," Green said. "Obviously he was feeling better about his game the other night. But that's life in the NHL. He wants to play, but we've got to make sure he's ready to go."
