Canucks’ Pettersson, Boeser set to return against Penguins

Elias Pettersson would be shaken up after getting slammed to the ice by Michael Matheson.

Injured forwards Brock Boeser and Elias Pettersson will be back in the lineup for the Vancouver Canucks when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday.

Pettersson, 19, has missed the last six games due to a concussion he suffered in a game against the Florida Panthers. Defenceman Mike Matheson was suspended two games for the hit that injured the rookie. Before the injury, Pettersson was on fire offensively scoring five goals and eight points in his first five NHL games.

Boeser, 21, missed two games with a groin injury. Last year’s runner up for the Calder Trophy, he has two goals and six points in nine games this season.
