The Edmonton Oilers have placed forwards Jesse Puljujarvi and Jujhar Khaira on injured reserve, the team announced on Monday.
Both Puljujarvi and Khaira missed Edmonton’s last game but it’s unclear exactly when either player suffered their injuries.
Sportsnet’s Mark Spector reports that Puljujarvi is dealing with a lower-body injury but isn’t expected to be out long-term.
In a subsequent move, the team called up forward Josh Currie from the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors.
The 26-year-old has a team-best 24 goals with Bakersfield, including six on the power play, as well as 37 points in 49 games.
