Jack McIlhargey

Highest Level of Play: NHL (Philadelphia Flyers & Vancouver Canucks)
Jack McIlhargey, former National Hockey League player and coach, current scout for the Philadelphia Flyers, and long-time fan-favourite, is a co-founder and cornerstone of HockeyCircles.

A 'tough as nails' competitor - never backing down from anyone - Jack was a seasoned defenceman and member of the famed 'Broad Street Bullies' that helped the Flyers win the 1975 Stanley Cup. In 393 games played he amassed 11 goals, 36 assists, and 1102 penalty minutes.

"I wasn't a great skater or a great player," McIlhargey once said, "But I worked hard. I knew, when I came to practice or a game, that I wouldn't be outworked."

Because of his perseverance and hard work, Jack proved to be a solid leader on and off of the ice. Not long after his playing career concluded, Jack quickly discovered his passion for the game in a leadership role. In a successful professional coaching career spanning over three decades, McIlhargey was a head/assistant/associate coach in both the AHL and the NHL, and has held a scouting role since 2007.

Named as one of "The 101 Greatest Canucks", inducted into the B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame (2011), played a key role in "lifting the Iron Curtain" in bringing two Russian stars west to play for the Canucks in the late 1980s - these achievements - as well as others - have cemented Jack's reputation as an insightful, knowledgeable and keen hockey mind.

Jack McIlhargey brings his immense experience and long-time devotion to the game of hockey to HockeyCircles – based on a highly accomplished playing/coaching/scouting career– as well as his notable passion for helping today's players develop and improve their game to its fullest potential.

Chad Sherman

Chad Sherman is an avid hockey and tennis player. At age 15, he was one of the youngest coaches in the history of Bradford Minor Hockey in Ontario. Today, he brings that same passion for fostering hockey development to HockeyCircles. In addition to being a founder member of the company, Chad owns three BC-based businesses.

Pearl Fong

Pearl brings with her over 20 years of personal business experience as an owner and an entrepreneur. She has overseen business ventures in both sporting and non-sporting environments by skillfully bridging the gap between creative ideas and execution. Pearl is known as a highly efficient business leader, adept in her ability to inspire people to work together as part of a positive, supportive and productive team.

Rick de Courtney

Highest Level of Play: Rec Div 2
Originally from England, Rick has only been playing hockey since 2010, but has fallen deeply in love with the game during that time.

He brings over 20 years of web experience, designing and formulating online strategies and constructing engaging platforms.

Mike MacWilliam

Highest Level of Play: NHL (New York Islanders)
Mike MacWilliam grew up playing his minor hockey in Burnaby, B.C. and continued on to play in several leagues throughout his career including the WHL, AHL, IHL, and NHL.

Mike was well known as a competitor on the ice. He accumulated 183 points and 2764 penalty minutes in just 490 career games. He also represented his teammates at the bargaining table, as both a Player Rep and a PHPA Executive Committee member while in the IHL.

During his career Mike played on several championship teams, winning the CHL Memorial Cup, the Sekonda SuperLeague, and the IHL Turner Cup twice. He was also been the recipient of several awards for his community and volunteer work during his career, including being named the IHL "Man of The Year" for Outstanding Community Service during the 1994/95 season.

Since his retirement from playing Mike has been involved in several sports based companies, and he currently makes his home in the Vancouver area.

Todd Kawaguchi

A genuine 'rink rat' in every form of the term, Todd has spent the last 35 years immersing himself in amateur hockey and his passion for the sport deeply resonates thru his veins. From lacing his own goalie skates, coaching his sons thru the Vancouver Selects Hockey Association, or being the Director of Hockey Operations for Abbotsford Minor Hockey, along with years of Operations and Sales experience, the knowledge and insight he brings to HockeyCircles is immeasurable.

Mathieu Tibbet

Highest Level of Play: NCAA Div 1
Originally from Dover, Delaware, Mat is a NCAA Division 1 alumni where he played for Merrimack College in Hockey East while earning his Bachelor's and Master's. Prior to a NCAA career he played for the Chilliwack Chiefs in the BCHL. Coming from an untraditional hockey area, he has been motivated in helping players from all areas of the globe receive top tier coaching.
